Allied Nutrition had the privilege of attending the 37th WPSA Scientific Symposium which was held on 30 October 2019 at the CSIR.
The theme was “Enhancing Poultry Production”. Prof Richard Ducatelle, from the University of Ghent, shared with us his knowledge on microbial diversity in the poultry digestive tract, and the influence of Gut immunity on microbial health and animal health. Dr Wolfgang Siegert, from the University of Hohenheim, shared with us new research on the importance of Glycine and Serine in poultry nutrition and factors influencing phytase efficacy in broiler chickens. Mr Edward Diehl shared with us the latest developments in broiler nutrition while Mr Rick Kleyn shared with us the impact nutrition has on gut health.
We are looking forward to attending the next WPSA Scientific Symposium.
